ASSOCIATE LIGHTING DESIGNER
	Maurice Brill Lighting Design Ltd is looking for a creative individual with minimum of five years of solid experience in designing and running medium to large scale lighting projects from our London office. You will be heading a team of designers and will be involved in all project stages from concept to completion in countries all over the world. Fantastic communication skills and an ability to manage deadlines are essential. The candidate should have a good knowledge & practical experience of AutoCAD and visualisation skills, in addition to an ability to prepare and present high quality lighting design presentations. MBLD's current projects include high end developments such as Heydar Aliev Cultural Centre with Zaha Hadid Architects, Regents Place with Terry Farrell and Wilkinson Eyre Architects, the Bahrain National Assembly the new parliament building for the Kingdom of Bahrain built on a man made island, One & Only luxury resort hotel in Costa Rica and a number of five star hospitality developments in England, Italy, South Africa, Dubai, Russia, Kazakhstan and India. 	MBLD CHOSEN AS TOP 10 LIGHTING CONSULTANCY OF THE DECADE
	To mark the 100th issue of Light Magazine a panel of lighting experts were invited by the magazine to nominate top 10 lists celebrating the best in lighting. MBLD made it into the TOP 10 lighting consultancy of the decade. Our Finsbury Avenue square project was also chosen as Top 10 lighting project of the decade.

 

	MBLD 2005 WINNERS FX AWARDS BEST PUBLIC OR OFFICE LIGHTING SCHEME
	We are happy to report that last night, 16th of November, at the FX Awards 2005 MBLD was the Winner of the Best Office or Public Space award for the Drumalane Mill Office, Newry in Ireland . Not only did we win, but MBLD was also Highly Commended in the same category for Finsbury Avenue Square making it a 1st and 2nd place.

	PROJECT UPDATE			MBLD Speaking at Joined Up Lighting Conference
		SHERATON HELIOPOLIS, CAIRO.- MBLD has been appointed to design lighting for all the public areas in this 5 star contemporary hotel development in Cairo, Egypt. Working together with architects and interior designers WAT&G an exciting concept has been developed including interactive projections and highly dynamic and flexible lighting. The project is set to be completed 2006.		MBLD’s Rob Honeywill and Tapio Rosenius are speaking at the “JOINED UP LIGHTING: Urban Lighting, Planning and Regeneration” conference, co-organised by the Institution of Lighting Engineers (ILE), the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), the European Association of Lighting Designers (ELDA) and Concord:marlin Lighting at the Institute of Physics, 76 Portland Place, London on Thursday 23 June 2005 from 9.45am - 5.30pm. Their topic is Creation of Night Time Destinations which discusses the philosophies and methods of making urban areas such as town squares successful night time environments through innovative and creative lighting design. 		PARK HYATT, CAIRO.- MBLD has been appointed to develop the lighting scheme for all major interior public areas, the façade and surrounding landscape as a part of the refurbishment for the Park Hyatt in downtown Cairo. Working with Hirsch Bedner & Associates, the term ‘destination hotel’ is being redefined with the use of the highest specifications to reinforce the 5 star rating. The projected opening for Park Hyatt Cairo is Summer 2007

	PROJECT UPDATE			MBLD HAS LAUNCHED ITS' NEW WEB SITE.
		DUBAI FESTIVAL CITY.- Located at the heart of the 1,600 acre Dubai Festival City, is the Festival Centre (DFC) where MBLD are working closely with HOK.		Maurice Brill Lighting Design website has been redesigned to include a comprehensive range of projects highlighting the breadth of experience the company has gained over the past twenty years. Selected MBLD lighting schemes from Exterior Facades to Commercial Interiors and Hotels and Restaurants to Exhibitions and Town Squares are illustrated.
