The restaurant Sketch is a much written about venture by Mourad Mazouz. MBLD was involved in lighting all the areas of the complex collaborating with a number of interior designers, architects and artists. The gentle colour washes for the freestanding “pods” at the East Bar toilets designed by Noe Duchaufour Lawrence offer a calm experience.

The interior design by Gabhan O'Keefe of the upstairs fine dining room called for warm and diffused lighting. Floor recessed uplighting accents the walls and the door reveals and fibre optic ceiling feature provides high level accent.

Futuristic Egg bar is softly lit externally with wall recessed spotlights in two colours also doubling up as step lighting. The multipurpose Gallery and Restaurant space designed Duchaufour Lawrence together with Mourad Mazouz have all 4 walls covered by video projections capable of producing continuous 360 º viewing. For late night the space kicks off as a club with moving lights integrated into the architectural lighting scheme.

The restrooms by Mehbs Yaqub are a talking point and were considered a major design feature. Front and backlit crystals and glass details produce exhilarating effect.
